Integration of Meest Express in checkout

The integration of Meest Express is a separate method of delivery in the basket: the buyer chooses the city and department from the list, which is updated by himself, sees the approximate cost by weight, and the track number goes to the order and to the letter without the involvement of the manager. Meest is hardly the only carrier: in the four stores we measured on July 31, 2026, it stood third or fourth next to Nova Poshta, Ukrposhta, Rozetka Delivery and self-delivery. Therefore, we start with a free check of your checkout, and the scope of work and the term are named after it.

What's included

Complete list of work and what you get as a result

  • Meest Express is a separate delivery method at checkout: the buyer chooses the city and office from the list, instead of dictating the address in the correspondence
  • Directory of cities and branches, which is updated according to the schedule - orders stop coming to closed points
  • Calculation of estimated cost by weight and dimensions, checked against what is written on your shipping and payment page
  • Forming the shipment directly from the admin: the manager does not go to the carrier's office and does not transfer data by hand
  • Track number in the order and in the letter to the buyer automatically - this accounts for the majority of "where is the parcel" requests
  • The rule for choosing a carrier by region, weight or product type so that only working options remain in the checkout
  • The name of the carrier in text next to the logo - otherwise neither the search engine nor the screen reader can see it
  • End-to-end verification on a live order with your manager: from the cart to the formed shipment
  • Written instructions for your process: where to see the date of the last synchronization of the directory and what to do if the API is silent
  • Guarantee of 30 calendar days for completed works
When this service isn't right

What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery

  • Agreement with the carrier and obtaining access to the API
  • Tariff agreements and calculation of the cost of delivery
  • Processing of returns and claims to the carrier
  • International shipments with customs clearance
  • The connection of other delivery services is calculated separately
Who it's for

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 5

Nova Poshta already exists, but in some areas it is not the only option

The second and third carriers are needed not because of the number of logos, but because of specific directions and tariffs. In the heating equipment store that we measured, Nova Poshta, Myst-Express, Delivery and self-delivery in Kharkiv worked nearby — four scenarios of receiving a catalog of 3,565 items.

Free checkout check

Before connecting another carrier, it is worth looking at how many they already have and whether the choice of delivery has turned into a list of ten lines in which the buyer gets lost.

What we measure

  • How many carriers are already in checkoutThe stores we measured had two to four delivery services. A fourth carrier should add a script, not duplicate an existing one.
  • Is there a branch directoryWe check whether the list of branches is pulled automatically and whether it is updated. A static list filled a year ago gives orders for closed departments.
  • How carriers are presented visuallyOn the measured store, the names of the carriers were only pictures without alternative text - neither the search engine nor the screen reader could see them. This is a small thing that can be easily fixed with integration.
  • Cost calculationIs the estimated shipping price displayed and does it correspond to the information page of the site.
  • Is there a place to put the track numberWe look at the structure of the order: is there a field for the shipment number and does it get into the letter to the buyer.

What you get

  • Report from the real checkout: the list of carriers, methods and prices that the site gives.
  • A recommendation on whether you need another carrier and in what scenario.
  • Evaluation of works and term.
  • A 20-minute conversation with an order manager.

Timeline: 1-2 working days

Why is it free

Because often after the inspection it turns out that it is not worth adding another carrier - it is better to bring the existing ones into order. This is a conclusion for which we do not charge money.

What's next

After the inspection, we give an estimate and a deadline for a specific list of works.

Short form: your contact and site URL

  • Contract, act and 30-day warranty

Every project gets a written contract: scope, deadlines, amount, acceptance procedure. After delivery — act and invoice, then 30 calendar days of warranty.

  • Sole proprietor & bank transfer

The contractor is a registered sole proprietor. Payment by invoice with closing documents.

  • Rights & access — yours

Code, design and materials transfer to you after full payment. Domain, hosting, repository and analytics are registered to you.

  • Client portal instead of email chains

During the project you get access to a portal: contracts, invoices, acts and project status in one place.

  • European clients

Among our work — projects for Norway, Bulgaria, Moldova and Spain.

  • Verifiable numbers

Every case in the portfolio comes with a link to a live site and a technical measurement.

  • Audit first, then pricing

There is no price list on the site intentionally: the scope of the same work differs multiples between clients.

  • We say "no" when unsure

If the task isn't ours or the deadline is unrealistic — we tell you upfront.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • How many carriers are already in checkoutAdding a fourth to three in order is a connection. Dismantling checkout, where delivery methods have been accumulated for years and some of them have not worked for a long time, is a separate job, and it is bigger than the integration itself.
  • Platform and topic statusOn OpenCart and WooCommerce, most of the work is configuring and testing the module. Own checkout on Next.js means that we write branch selection, directory cache and validation, and this is a different volume.
  • The complexity of the selection rule"Meest always available" is one line. "Meest only for areas outside the courier's zone, except for goods over 30 kg and except for pre-orders" is already a logic that must be described, implemented and checked for each branch.
  • Depth of work with dispatchMinimum - the buyer chooses the branch, the manager processes the shipment himself. The full cycle — formation from the admin, number in the order, status from the carrier. The difference between these two states is the biggest in the estimate.
  • Where should the track number goThe letter to the buyer is basic. A deal card in KeyCRM, a message in a Telegram bot, a field in the download for accounting — each additional recipient is a separate exchange that must be tested on a live order.
  • Tariffs and cost calculationThere is no need to calculate the fixed tariff at all. Calculation by weight and dimensions means checking with the tariff table and checking the extreme cases — heavy, long and very cheap goods.

Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us

online store of an official seller of garden equipment and spare parts

Task
To serve a large catalog of spare parts, in which buyers are scattered throughout the country, with several options for receiving — from the carrier's branch to self-pickup from your own point.
Solution
Store on OpenCart 3 with a catalog depth of up to four levels. In the checkout, there are four delivery options, including Meest Express, and eight payment methods, including purchase in three installments and cashless with VAT.
Result
Measurement 07/31/2026: 55,321 product pages in the site map (18 submaps with 3,000 addresses each and 1,321 in the nineteenth) plus 3,868 categories — 59,189 addresses in total. First server response 840.5ms, full load 997.4ms at 454.5KB HTML. Found a defect that we issued to the client separately: the pick-up point is marked as closed from 03/23/2026 and continues to hang in the list of pick-up methods.

online store of garden tools for private buyers

Task
Give the buyer four shipping options on one terms page without turning the choice into confusion.
Solution
OpenCart store with four carriers, including Meest Express, and five payment methods. Delayed image loading on all page types.
Result
Measurement 07/31/2026: four carriers and five payment methods on the delivery and payment page. The HTML of the main 252.6 KB is the lightest among the shops of the batch, the first response of the server is 547.2 ms; 66 out of 69 images (96%) delayed loading. Defect found: names of carriers are presented only as images without alt. In the neighboring store of the same niche, alts are filled - the difference is in one attribute, and the visibility of the carrier is different.

retail online store of heating equipment

Task
Keep both the individual and the FOP with VAT in the same checkout, and at the same time provide several methods of receipt, including self-delivery in your city.
Solution
OpenCart 3 with four delivery services — Nova Poshta, Myst-Express, Delivery and pickup in Kharkiv — and payment via monobank, cash on delivery, cash on delivery and non-cash account for FOP and LLC with VAT.
Result
Measurement 07/31/2026: Catalog 3,565 product cards counted by OpenCart standard search, first server response 524.8ms at 295.7KB HTML. Four delivery services in one checkout work without confusion, because each one closes its own script. Defect found: /sitemap.xml returns HTTP 200 with empty body.

Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:3–8 days

  1. Checkout access and analysis

    0-1 business day

We take the API keys from your account, see which delivery methods are already available, which of them are live, and where the shipment number will be in the order. Zero days - if you went through the free checkout check: it's already done there.

  2. Directory of cities and branches

    1-2 working days

We pull the list into our table with an index by city, set updates according to the schedule and show where to see the date of the last synchronization. We do not make a live request to the API for every click in the search field: the carrier has frequency limits, and during peak hours it hits the checkout itself.

  3. Delivery method in checkout and selection rule

    1-2 working days

Meest appears as a separate option with department selection. Here we describe when to show it: region, weight, type of product. We put the name in text next to the logo — this is a little thing that is convenient to close together with the integration.

  4. Calculation of the cost by weight and dimensions

    0-1 business day

We connect the calculation and compare it with what is written on your information page: the discrepancy between the number in the cart and the text about the delivery generates a support request. Zero days — when you have a fixed tariff and nothing to count.

  5. Formation of shipment and track number

    0-1 business day

The button in the admin, the number in the order, the number in the letter to the buyer. If necessary, we give the same number to KeyCRM or Telegram bot. Zero days — if you deliberately stay at the carrier's office and you only need the number field.

  6. Live order testing and transfer

    1 working day

We go through the scenario together with your manager: shopping cart, branch selection, payment, shipment, letter with a number. We separately check the behavior when the API of the carrier does not respond. We pass on the instructions.

Technologies & integrations

What we build on and what it connects to

Stack

  • API Meest Express — keys are issued to you in the office, not to the contractor. Limit: we only read the directory and tariffs, it is impossible to change them from the site
  • OpenCart 3 and 4 is the platform of most stores where we have seen Meest. Limit: under 4.x part of the Ukrainian modules are still without assemblies, we check the version before the start
  • WooCommerce - plugin connection is faster. Boundary: Two delivery plugins in the same checkout conflict for the address field
  • Next.js — when to wait for yours. Limit: there is no ready-made module, we write the department selection and validation
  • PHP and MySQL - we keep the directory in a table with an index by city; searching directly in the API is slower and depends on someone else's availability
  • Cron or hosting scheduler — schedule directory updates; without it, the list freezes on the day of installation

Integrations

  • Meest Express is a branch
  • Meest Express is a courier
  • track number in the letter to the buyer
  • KeyCRM
  • Telegram bot for order notifications
Integration against manual registration in the carrier's office

How this option differs from the alternative

Who chooses the departmenta buyer at the checkout, from a list that is updated on a schedule
Error in branch numberthe buyer chose himself from the list - the error is visible even before payment
Track numberin the order and in the letter to the buyer automatically
Manager's time to orderis spent on confirmation, not on entering an address
Costsone-time operation plus module support during platform updates
When appropriatefrom several tens of shipments per month
What we need from you

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. Access the carrier's API from your account.
  2. Access to the site and admin with rights to install modules.
  3. Sender data: address, contact person, phone.
  4. Typical weight and dimensions of shipments.
  5. The answer in which cases Meest should be in the checkout — always or only for certain cities and products.
  6. Order Manager to check the live scenario.

If something is missing — let us know, we'll help you gather it or do it as a separate task.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Why the third or fourth carrier in the checkout?

For the sake of coverage and prices in specific directions. In the garden equipment stores we measured, there were four delivery services at the checkout at the same time, each closing its own scenario: one for express shipments, another for large shipments, a third as a cheaper alternative, plus pickup. But adding a carrier "just in case" is harmful: a long list in the checkout reduces conversion just as surely as its absence.

How will the buyer understand which carrier he needs?

Show not names, but scenarios: term, approximate price and type of receipt. The name of the carrier should be a text, not just a logo. In one of the stores we measured, carriers are presented exclusively in pictures without alternative text - a buyer with normal vision understands everything, but a search engine and a screen reader see nothing. This is fixed in half an hour and is done together with the integration.

Is it possible to show different carriers for different cities?

Yes, and this is the most rewarding part of the job. The selection rule is adjusted by region, weight or type of product: oversized items are not shown in mailboxes, there is only one carrier for certain destinations, and a separate set for pre-orders. This makes the checkout shorter, and the options in it become real.

Do you need to update the branch directory?

Definitely, and automatically. Branches open, close and change addresses; the list, filled once, will start giving orders for non-existent points in six months. We schedule updates and show you where to look for the last sync date — so you can check for yourself without asking us.

How long will it take to connect?

3-8 working days from receiving accesses. Checkout access and analysis 0-1 day, directory 1-2, delivery method with selection rule 1-2, cost calculation 0-1, shipment formation with track number 0-1, live order testing 1. Zeros are not for beauty: if you have a fixed tariff or you deliberately leave the registration in the office, the corresponding stage is simply not needed.

What to do with the track number?

Put in the order and in the letter to the buyer automatically. The most frequent state we see: the number lives in the carrier's office, the manager forwards it manually in the messenger, and some customers do not receive it at all. This is not a question of technology, but of the number of "where's my order" requests to your support - and it is this figure that shows the work the fastest.

And if the API of the carrier does not respond at the time of registration?

Checkout should not crash together with someone else's service. We have a directory of departments in a table, so choosing a department works even when the API is silent: the buyer places an order, and the shipment is created later, when the connection is restored. The cost calculation in this mode shows the last known value with a mark that it is approximate. We test this scenario separately, not because it is frequent, but because it is expensive.

Is it possible to leave the registration in the office, and only have a choice of department on the website?

It is possible, and for a small stream it is often more reasonable. Then we put the directory and the delivery method in the checkout, and the formation of the shipment is left to your manager in the Meest office. It is cheaper and faster, and if the flow increases, we will finish the second half separately - we will not have to redo what we have done.

Submit the site address - let's start with the checkout check, not the estimate

In 1-2 working days, we will return with a report: which carriers your site actually provides, where does the list of branches come from, and where does the track number go now. Then there is the scope of work and the deadline. If it turns out that you do not need another carrier, you will hear about it in the first email.
