Monobank integration: payment and purchase in installments

Monobank integration is two different scenarios in one checkout: a regular card payment and a partial purchase, which the buyer sees as a separate line. Both open with the same merchant token, but live in different ways. The card closes in seconds; installments drag on for weeks, and the order has to be displayed somewhere all this time. In the garden equipment store, which we measured on 07/31/2026, the purchase in installments in three payments is among the eight payment methods — next to cashless with VAT and cash on delivery. Before connecting, we look at your checkout: does it make sense in the new way. It's free.

What's included

Complete list of work and what you get as a result

  • Payment by card through the monobank gateway directly at the checkout — the buyer does not go to a third-party page for details
  • Purchase in parts with a separate line: the number of payments is visible before the person clicks "Checkout"
  • Callback processing with signature verification and status re-request in the bank API
  • Separate order statuses for card payment and for installments — the manager sees the difference without calling the bank
  • A mark on the availability of payment in installments on the product card, and only on items subject to the bank's terms and conditions
  • Successful and unsuccessful checkout pages with a saved cart: after rejection, the order is not reassembled
  • Refunds from the admin account with a separate order of actions for installments - written down, not conveyed verbally
  • Different events in the analytics for a regular purchase and a partial purchase: you can see which scenario brings more
  • Test order on live money with the passage of the entire chain: payment, status, return
  • Transfer: brief instructions to the manager and accountant, warranty period of 30 calendar days after acceptance
When this service isn't right

What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery

  • The contract with the bank and passing the inspection are drawn up by you, not by the contractor
  • Fees and installment tariff terms: this is your agreement with the bank
  • Legal texts on the terms of purchase in parts
  • Fiscalization of payments and issuance of a fiscal check
  • Connection of other payment systems is calculated separately

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 4

The product is expensive, and the purchase decision is delayed

Equipment, tools, equipment, equipment. It is not the price as such that hinders, but the one-time outflow of money: a person wants, but not now. Payment in installments does not change the amount - it spreads it; the seller receives the money in full and immediately, the risk of non-payment remains with the bank. In the garden equipment store we measured, this method is advertised as three payments. A fair limit: the commission does not disappear anywhere and on low-margin items it eats up the profit from the order completely.

Free checkout check before connecting

Buying in parts changes the buyer's behavior and requires separate texts and statuses on the site. The check shows whether your checkout is ready for this — and whether you need the script at all.

What we measure

  • Average check and directory structurePayment in installments makes sense from a certain amount. Let's see what share of your items it gets, so as not to connect the method that will be used twice a quarter.
  • What methods of calculation already existIn the heating equipment store we measured, there are four of them, including a non-cash account for FOP and LLC with VAT. The new method should close a script that doesn't exist yet, not duplicate an existing one.
  • Order statusesAn installment plan lasts longer than a regular payment: the goods can be shipped and the payments still continue. Let's see if there is a state in the admin that describes this.
  • Texts about conditionsThe number of payments and amount limits must be on the site before launch. In a measured garden equipment store, the condition is announced directly as three payments - the buyer sees it even before checkout.
  • What is transferred to analyticsDoes the events of a regular purchase differ from a purchase in parts. Without it, you won't be able to see which scenario is bringing in more, and your ads won't have anything to build on.
  • Platform version and certificateAiming: We have fixed PHP 7.3.33 in Measured Garden Shop - Unsupported as of December 2021. It is possible to accept cards on such a core, but this is a separate conversation, and it is better to have it before, not after.

What you get

  • Checkout report: what payment methods are already available and whether it makes sense to add a new one for you.
  • A list of order texts and statuses that must be entered before launch.
  • Evaluation of works and term by stages.
  • A conversation for 20-30 minutes with you and your accountant - it is he who then lives with the animal.

Timeline: 1-2 business days from when we receive the site address

Why is it free

Because sometimes the answer sounds like "you don't need it": the assortment is cheap, the commission will eat the margin, and nobody will use the script. It is fairer to say this before the contract than after. The report remains with you in any case.

What's next

After the inspection, we give an estimate for a specific list of works and a calendar plan with dates.

Short form: your contact and site URL

  • Contract, act and 30-day warranty

Every project gets a written contract: scope, deadlines, amount, acceptance procedure. After delivery — act and invoice, then 30 calendar days of warranty.

  • Sole proprietor & bank transfer

The contractor is a registered sole proprietor. Payment by invoice with closing documents.

  • Rights & access — yours

Code, design and materials transfer to you after full payment. Domain, hosting, repository and analytics are registered to you.

  • Client portal instead of email chains

During the project you get access to a portal: contracts, invoices, acts and project status in one place.

  • European clients

Among our work — projects for Norway, Bulgaria, Moldova and Spain.

  • Verifiable numbers

Every case in the portfolio comes with a link to a live site and a technical measurement.

  • Audit first, then pricing

There is no price list on the site intentionally: the scope of the same work differs multiples between clients.

  • We say "no" when unsure

If the task isn't ours or the deadline is unrealistic — we tell you upfront.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • One scenario or twoCard payment is a module, keys and a test order. Purchasing in installments adds separate statuses, terms and conditions, card markings, and a separate return procedure. This is where the difference between the lower and upper edge of the term is.
  • Status of order statusesIf the admin already describes which status means payment, we simply add two new ones. If there are no statuses at all and the manager is guided by memory, first he has to build a scheme, and these are separate days.
  • Theme platform and ageOn a clean assembly, the module becomes in an hour. In a topic where the checkout is already blocked by edits, first you need to figure out what exactly is blocked: one extra template change can eat up a working day.
  • Markings on product cardsIt's easy to display "available in parts" on the entire catalog. Display only where the bank condition is actually met is a price and category selection rule and should be aligned with your assortment.
  • Analytics and reconciliationSeparating the events of a regular purchase and a purchase in parts is a job of several hours, if the counter is already running. If there is no analytics at all, it will have to be installed from scratch, and this is already a neighboring task.
  • Who accepts the jobA test order is made together with your accountant or manager. When there is no such person, reception is stretched: questions about return and reconciliation arise in the same way, only later and more expensively.

Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:3–10 days

  1. Checkout Checkout

    1-2 working days

Let's look at the range, available calculation methods, statuses and analytics. The output is a list of works, based on which the estimate is calculated.

  2. Gateway connection and test payment

    1-2 working days

We install the module, start the seller's token, make the first payment for a small amount and see what comes in the callback.

  3. Part purchase scenario and statuses

    1-3 working days

We are introducing a separate calculation method, two new order statuses and a transition rule between them. Right here, we agree with the accountant, which status means "paid".

  4. Markings on cards and texts of conditions

    1 working day

The rule for selecting items that are subject to the bank's conditions, the block on the number of payments on the product card and the page with the conditions.

  5. Analytics

    0.5–1 working day

We separate the normal purchase and partial purchase events, check that both reach the reports, and not just the browser console.

  6. Live ordering and delivery

    1 working day

We go through the full circuit with real money: payment, change of status, return. Instructions to the manager, access, warranty period.

Technologies & integrations

What we build on and what it connects to

Stack

  • monobank Acquiring API — one token of the seller opens both the card and the purchase in parts
  • Callback signature verification - without it, the status can be changed by a fake request
  • OpenCart 3 and 4 - the module installs quickly, but edits in the old theme can block the checkout
  • WooCommerce - there is a plugin; some of the order statuses have to be entered manually with filters
  • Next.js — payment is initiated on the server, the key does not enter the browser; checkout is written by hand
  • PHP - the version must be supported: 7.3.33 we met on the live store
  • HTTPS + HSTS — at the step of entering the card, the browser itself warns against a site without a certificate

Integrations

  • monobank — payment by card
  • monobank — purchase in installments
  • Visa/Mastercard
  • non-cash account for FOP and LLC
  • postpaid as an alternative scenario
  • GA4 is a purchase event
  • Google Tag Manager

How this option differs from the alternative

Purchase in partsnative script of the bank, a separate line in the checkout and a condition on the product card
Number of contractsone — with a bank; a merchant token is issued to you
What the buyer seesa familiar name of the bank - for some of the audience, this removes the pause before entering the card
Reconciliation and returnone office, one statement, one procedure
When something else is smarterwhen the bulk of orders are cards and installments for expensive items
What we need from you

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. Seller token from your acquiring account.
  2. Access to the site and admin with rights to install modules.
  3. The terms of purchase in installments that you have agreed with the bank: the number of payments and restrictions on the amount.
  4. Texts about installment terms are legally your zone, not ours.
  5. List of order statuses and the rule which of them means payment.
  6. Accountant or manager who is responsible for reconciliation and return: we pass the reception together with him.

If something is missing — let us know, we'll help you gather it or do it as a separate task.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Who really needs to buy in parts?

Shops where the check makes you think: machinery, tools, equipment, equipment. In the garden equipment store we measured, this method stands alone among eight calculation methods, for three payments. There is almost no benefit on the cheap assortment: there is no lump sum barrier, and the commission for installments remains. It is not necessary to connect for the sake of completeness of the list.

Where to show the conditions — at checkout or on the product card?

On a card and it works better. The buyer sees the number of payments even before putting something in the cart, and half of the questions to the manager fall away by themselves. In the garden equipment store we measured, the condition is declared directly as three payments. A technical detail: we display the mark only on items that are subject to the bank's conditions, and not on the entire catalog - otherwise some buyers will see a promise that the checkout will not confirm.

How is an installment plan more complicated than a regular payment?

For the lifetime of the order. Either the card payment went through or it didn't. Installments can be approved, then canceled, and the goods have already left. Therefore, separate statuses and a written agreement with the accountant are required at which moment the order is considered paid. We agree on this scheme before the start of work - after the first disputed case, it is more expensive to negotiate.

How do you make the order not "pay" by itself?

We do not consider the body of the callback as proof of payment. First, we check the signature of the request, then we ask the bank about the status of the payment with a separate request - and only after the bank's response do we change the status. That's two extra hours at the connection stage and zero disputed orders afterwards. Without this check, the status of the order can be changed by a fake request from the outside.

What about returns in installments?

Through the bank office, with mandatory reflection in the order. The procedure here is different from a regular payment, and the biggest confusion arises when returns are made either from the admin area or from the office. We fix the procedure in writing upon transfer. This is the part that no one usually describes and then mentions every time.

Isn't this method redundant if the card gateway is already there?

Redundant if it duplicates an existing script. It is not superfluous if it closes a new one. Footer logos don't sell anything by themselves, and every gateway is a commission and an extra point in the balance. In the heating equipment store measured by us, there are four methods of calculation, and each one serves its own group: individuals, companies with VAT, those who pay on receipt. Sometimes the correct answer is to remove a method, not to add one.

Is a fiscal check included in this connection?

No. Acquiring and fiscalization are different things: the bank transfers the money, the check is issued by a separate service. We will tell you at the check whether you need it on your tax form, but it is not included in the payment connection work and is calculated separately.

How will I see that parts are actually being used?

A separate event in analytics. In the tactical gear store we measured, the installment is tracked by its own event in the dataLayer—that is, the owner sees how many orders are going that way, rather than guessing. Disclaimer: GA4 shows a trend, not an accounting truth. Blockers, consent to cookies and browser restrictions eat up some of the events, so once a month the numbers should still be checked with bank statements.

How long will it take to connect?

3-10 working days. Checkout 1-2 days, gateway and test payment 1-2, part purchase scenario with statuses 1-3, marks and texts 1, analytics up to one day, live order and transfer 1. Closer to the upper limit is when you have to arrange order statuses together with installments.

Give the website address - let's start with checking the checkout, not with the estimate

In 1-2 working days, we will return with an answer: does it make sense to buy parts of your assortment, what calculation methods are already available, what will have to be added in statuses and texts before launch. Then there is the cost and term by stages.
