Advertising on Facebook and Instagram for an online store
Targeted advertising for an online store is showing the product to a person who was not looking for it: on Facebook and Instagram, demand is not caught, but created. We run the channel in a full cycle — the structure of campaigns for the stages of the funnel, the catalog and dynamic formats, purchase events with the amount of the order, sets of creatives and replacement of those that have burned out. The main risk here is not in the cabinet settings: creatives run out earlier than the budget. Therefore, before launch, we see for free what you have from the visual and whether the store transmits the purchase event at all.

What's included
Complete list of work and what you get as a result
Staged campaign structure — introduction, engagement, sale: the budget for cold impressions is not mixed with the return budget, and each stage is visible as a separate line in the report
Audiences from four sources—your buyer lists, lookalike segments, interests, and broad targeting—can be compared by order value, not theoretically argued
Connection of the product catalog and dynamic formats: the ad is collected from the feed, so the new position does not need to be manually added to the ad
Setting up the purchase, cart, and checkout events with the transfer of the order amount — without an amount, the algorithm optimizes for the number of actions, not for money
Creative Kits for Ribbon, Stories and Vertical Video: A square stretched to 9:16 cuts off the product, and this is visible in the placement breakdown
Weekly review of signs of burnout and replacement of materials according to the fact, not according to the calendar - we do not touch the working creative
Budget redistribution based on actual returns with a brief note of what was changed and why: after a month, this is the only way to understand where the result came from
Tests of proposals, formats and landings with a log - what was checked, how much did the check cost, what was the conclusion
Monthly report: expenses, orders, order value, returns. There are three numbers nearby: the Meta cabinet, GA4 and your accounting system
Technical list for launch: what needs to be done on the site so that the paid click is not lost - a separate document with deadlines
When this service isn't right
What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery
Advertising budget — it is debited from your account, we do not dispose of it
Maintaining pages and publishing in the feed is a separate direction and a separate person
Professional photo and video shooting without a separate estimate
Promises of a specific return from advertising
Account unlocking and correspondence with platform support
Improvements on the site: speed, feed, server events - we evaluate, but perform separately
Who it's for
Situations where this service delivers results
Scenario 1 of 5
The product is chosen with the eyes, not by the article number
Clothes, cosmetics, decor, furniture, gifts. A person does not formulate a search query - he stops at a frame in the tape. Here, the channel works the cleanest, because the decision is made on the same screen as the show. There is only one condition: there must be something to show. The store of natural cosmetics from our sample lives exactly like this - the Pixel is in place, the landing page gives the first answer in 126.3 ms, and during this pause the person does not have time to change his mind.
We'll review your situation in a free audit
Scenario 2 of 5
The product is new or niche and not yet sought after
When the category is not in the mind of the buyer, search advertising collects crumbs: there is no one to enter the query. Meta shows the product to those who did not think about it and forms the demand itself. It's a more expensive per click and a longer path to payback, and we're saying that on the first call, not the third month.
Scenario 3 of 5
There is already traffic, but most of it goes without an order
Then the first thing we turn on is dynamic ads from the catalog to those who viewed the card or dropped the cart. This is the cheapest part of the channel, because people already know the product. Requirement: The Meta must have a live feed and a product view event with an ID that matches the feed. If the identifiers do not match, the speaker will show the wrong product.
Scenario 4 of 5
The store is already spending on Meta and doesn't know what exactly works
Campaigns run for a year, creatives are the same since spring, the report boils down to the total amount of expenses. We begin by analyzing the cabinet: which materials have burned out, where did the budget go without orders, does the purchase event even occur.
Scenario 5 of 5
Seasonal shop with short peaks
Garden equipment, gifts, school season. The main thing is not to miss the window: the campaign should exit the training period before the peak, not in the middle of it. Therefore, the launch is planned back from the date, and the budget is shaken in advance.
Free pre-launch store review on Meta
In this channel, people are not looking for a product - they are showing it. Therefore, three things decide everything: whether there is something to show, whether the system sees what happened after the click, and whether the store can withstand mobile traffic. We check exactly them - from the outside, without access to your server.
What we measure
Pixel state and server eventsDoes the Pixel stand, does the purchase and add to cart work, or are they duplicates? In the sample we measured, the Pixel happened by itself, without any Google analytics — meaning half the picture was missing. Five stores had nothing at all: no GTM, no gtag, no Pixel.
Catalog of products in MetaWithout it, neither dynamic ads nor product tags in publications work. We see if there is a feed, if it is alive and if the identifiers in it match those transmitted by the product view event.
What is from the visualA photo on a white background for a catalog is one thing, a vertical video for stories is quite another. We calculate how many weeks the existing one will be enough and what will have to be removed additionally.
Mobile landing speedAlmost all traffic here is mobile. In our measurement on 07/31/2026, the spread of the first server response on one platform is from 126.3 ms to 1,544.6 ms, and the second number eats up some of the paid clicks before the first screen.
Where does the click lead?We check a selection of product addresses for redirects. In a lingerie store, 50 addresses out of 150 returned 301, and all 50 led to a different item—a different size or color. For paid traffic, this is a click paid for a product that a person will not see.
Status of pages and accountsBusiness account, page and Instagram rights, verified domain. Half of the launch delays are right here, and it's not our job, it's the formalities on your end.
What was shown beforeIf the campaigns were already running, let's see which creatives burned out faster than others and which audiences were spent the most without orders.
What you get
Assessment of the state of measurement: what is being transmitted and what is being lost.
A list of what is needed for the directory and dynamic formats, with specific feed fields.
A realistic assessment of the existing visual and a list of what should be removed first.
List of technical losses on landing: speed, redirects, empty cards.
A 40-minute conversation on the document — with the person who measured it.
Timeline: 3-5 working days
Why is it free
Because running impressions on a store that does not transmit a purchase event means paying for traffic and not knowing whether there were sales. A check is short, and a mistake is expensive: the budget is written off every day, and you can see it in a month.
What's next
We give an estimate separately for setting up the measurement and catalog, separately for the production of creatives and separately for conducting campaigns. These three works can be taken individually and in any order, and none of them is tied to the other two.

There is no price list on the site intentionally: the scope of the same work differs multiples between clients.
We say "no" when unsure
If the task isn't ours or the deadline is unrealistic — we tell you upfront.
What affects the price
Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently
What do you have from the visualA store that gives ready-made photos and videos in bundles and a store where every material is collected from scratch every month are different jobs with the same service name. It is this point that drives the volume the strongest, not the number of campaigns in the cabinet.
Measurement status at the startA live Pixel with a purchase event and order amount is zero extra work. A shop without any meter means that before the first show you have to measure and check each event on the live order.
Catalog and feedA ready and correct feed is connected in a day. The feed, which must be collected from the store, checked with event identifiers and taught to update, is a separate stage with its own deadline.
Number of product groups and promotionsOne line with one offer is several creative-audience-boarding links. A dozen groups with different margins and their schedule of promotions multiply the campaigns, the number of materials, and the time for a week's analysis.
The rate of replacement of creativesHow many new materials are really needed per month depends on the size of the audience and the budget. A narrow audience with a big budget burns out faster, and then production becomes the main article, not management.
Language versions and marketsA second language is not a translation of the ad text. These are separate campaigns, separate creatives, separate placements and separate analysis of results: mixing them in one campaign means giving the entire budget to a cheaper market.
Cases
Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us
a specialized online store for self-defense products is our external technical dimension
Task
To understand how ready the store is for paid impressions, without having access to the advertising cabinet.
Solution
External detour 07/31/2026: HTML counters, sitemap count, response time measurements, and delayed loading images.
Result
There is a Meta Pixel in the markup, there is no Google analytics at all - neither GTM nor GA. This is exactly the half of the picture we wrote about above: expenses are visible in the office, and there is nothing to compare the behavior on the website with. The catalog is small: 48 product addresses and 18 categories, a total of 68 URLs. TTFB 494.7 ms at 502.3 KB of HTML — a lot of markup for such a directory; 154 out of 190 images are loading slowly. What this method does not show: how much the order cost. We don't have numbers from the advertising account.
the online store of natural cosmetics based on beekeeping products is our external technical dimension
Task
Estimate the landing rate for mobile paid traffic: for how much a person will see the product after a click.
Solution
Measurements of response time and marking weights, analysis of the site map with separate counting of records and unique addresses, inventory of counters.
Result
A TTFB of 126.3ms and a full HTML load of 172.4ms at 196.3KB is the fastest landing gear of the lot. Meta Pixel 223498938856556, Google Ads and GTM stand together, but the analytics are dead: in the Universal Analytics markup, turned off by Google on July 1, 2023, and there is no GA4 ID - the second frame of reference is not there for the third year. Plus an indexing defect: 271 entries in the sitemap for 116 unique addresses.
online retail underwear store, catalog of over 110,000 items — our external technical dimension
Task
Check where the person who clicked on the product ad actually ends up.
Solution
A sample of 150 random product addresses of the site map with verification of the response code of each, measurement of the response time of the main and the card.
Result
50 addresses out of 150 (33%) returned 301, and all 50 led to a different position — a different size or color: 70B→70A, L→XL, white→black. In the scope of the directory, this is about 37 thousand addresses. For paid advertising, this is the most expensive defect found: the click was paid for a specific product, and the person sees another. Main gives the first response in 1544.6ms vs. 391.4ms on the card, no cache, with 118 images and none delayed. At the same time, the remarketing module transmits the Facebook product_id — the dynamic is technically possible, but it must be recorded on the cards.

Process steps
Transparent stages with approval at every step
Total duration:8–20 days
1
Access and status check
1-2 working days
Business account, advertising cabinet, page, Instagram, verified domain. At the same time, we look at what is being transferred from the store now and where the product links lead. If at this step it turns out that there is no event, say immediately, and not after launch.
2
Measurement: events and reconciliation
2-4 working days
Purchase, add to cart, start checkout — with transfer of amount and currency. We check each event in the Events Manager on a live test order. The server channel, if it is needed, is carried out separately: there is its own volume and its own risk of double accounting.
3
Catalog and feed
1-3 working days
Feeds products to Meta, checking required fields, checking IDs in the feed with those transmitted by the view event. Here we adjust the update frequency: a feed with yesterday's stock leads a person to a product that is not available.
4
Campaign creatives and structure
3-7 working days
We are collecting the first sets for the ribbon, storis and vertical video - three or four different in idea, and not three colors of the same banner. In parallel, we divide the campaigns according to the stages of the funnel and record what exactly we check in the first month.
5
Launch and training period
1-2 working days for launch
We start and do not touch the campaign until it gathers enough events. This is the hardest part for the customer: you want to tweak the settings every day, and every edit resets the training. The first conclusions — after leaving the study, usually two or three weeks.
6
Weekly driving cycle
every week for as long as it lasts
Once a week: signs of burnout, redistribution of budget, replacement of materials, short record of changes. Once a month - a report with three sources of figures and a plan for the next period. We make changes in campaigns in portions, so that it is clear which of them had an effect.
Technologies & integrations
What we build on and what it connects to
Stack
Meta Ads Manager is a single place with structure and costs; its reporting is not linked to any external system
Meta Pixel - browser event: part is not reaching due to blockers and privacy
Conversions API is a server channel that picks up the lost; without correct matching gives double accounting
Events Manager — here you can see that the event took place and with what amount; without this check, the work is incomplete
The Meta product catalog is a source of dynamics; shows the product as it is in the feed, and a bad photo will not be corrected
Dynamic ads — scale without manual build, but only when feed and event IDs match
GA4 with e-commerce - second frame of reference: counts by last source of conversion, will not coincide with Meta
Google Tag Manager — so as not to sew events into the store theme by hand; the price is another layer with its own mistakes
Where does the demand come from?Search: we catch an already formed request. Posts: work for those who are already subscribedwe create: we show the product to someone who was not looking for it
What determines the resultSearch: semantics, bids and landing. Publications: regularity and reach of subscriberscreativity and proposal; settings come second
The speed of the first dataSearch: data from day one. Publications: Months to noticeable reachthe first sales are possible in the first week, conclusions — after leaving the training
The main expenseSearch: competitive bid per click. Publications: human timethe production of new materials is a permanent item, because the old ones burn out
What will happen if you stopSearch: same. Publications: coverage lasts for a while and fadesscreenings stop on the same day
Requirements for the storeSearch: boarding on request. Publications: there are almost no site requirementsmobile speed, live feed, purchase event with amount
What we need from you
We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance
1Access to the business account, advertising cabinet, page and Instagram is through the business account, not your director's login and password.
2Verified domain in the business account settings: without it, some formats and events simply do not work.
3Product feed or consent to its assembly by your site contractor.
4Visual materials: photos of products, videos, initial layouts - everything that is available, even if it seems sloppy.
5Marginal margin by product group and the limit of the order value above which the sale is unprofitable for you.
6Monthly budget and promotions plan in advance so that ads and feed do not conflict with each other.
7One person on your side who approves creatives and is responsible for the day, not the week.
If something is missing — let us know, we'll help you gather it or do it as a separate task.
FAQ
Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers
How many creatives do you need at the start?
At least three or four different ideas, not three colors of the same banner. The algorithm quickly determines what works and shows the rest less often - but for this it needs to choose from. And separately for formats: a horizontal frame stretched on a vertical placement cuts off the product, and this is visible in the breakdown by placements. The main problem of the channel is not in the settings, but in the fact that the materials are running out: what worked well for three weeks stops working, and there is nothing to replace it.
How do you understand that creativity has burned out?
According to the increase in the cost of impressions for the same audience with an unchanged budget and a drop in the share of interactions. This is visible a few days before the order sinks. We watch every week and change materials according to the signs, not according to the calendar. Replacing a working creative "because a month has passed" is the same mistake as showing a burned-out one: you yourself remove from circulation something that brings money.
We already have Pixel - why server events?
Because some of the browser events do not reach: blockers, privacy settings, interrupted sessions on mobile. The server channel is reporting the same event on your end, and together they give a more complete picture - provided you match up correctly, otherwise there will be double counting and you'll see twice as many sales as you had. This is a separate job with a separate risk, so we put it in a separate service so that the scope is visible. First, we still check the basics: in the store of self-defense equipment from our dimension, there is a Pixel, but there is no Google analytics at all - and this can be seen from the outside in five minutes.
Broad targeting or narrow interests?
Depends on how many events you give the system. On a store with dozens of orders per month, narrow audiences leave the algorithm without a signal, and broad targeting with good materials often results in a cheaper order. On small budgets and in a narrow niche, the opposite happens. We don't stick to one scheme: we check both on your data and keep the one that won. We show the comparison in the report by numbers, not by description.
Why don't the numbers in the Meta cabinet match GA4?
Because these are different ways of counting. Meta counts the impression or click conversion in its attribution window, GA4 counts by the last source of the conversion. A discrepancy of one and a half to two times is a common thing and does not mean that someone is cheating. Therefore, in the report we show three numbers separately: the office, GA4 and your accounting system. The main one is accounting, because only it shows paid and unpurchased orders. We will not combine the first two into one figure, it would be fiction.
What minimum budget makes sense?
We do not name the sums on the page, but the arithmetic is simple and does not depend on us. A campaign needs a certain number of purchase events per week to unlearn. Divide this number by your conversion - you will get the number of clicks you need, multiply by the actual cost of a click in your niche. If the result is more than the amount you are willing to spend every month, the channel is not for you yet, and it is fairer to say so before the start. We do this calculation together with you during the free check.
How long until the first conclusions?
The first sales are possible in the first week, but they do not prove anything yet. Meaningful conclusions — after the campaign exits the learning period and accumulates enough events; in practice it is two or three weeks. We openly call the first month a test period: we test audiences, formats and offers, and scale what survives. If you turn the settings every day this month, training is reset and two or three weeks turn into infinity.
Another person runs our Instagram — does it interfere?
No, this is a normal distribution. We need advertising rights, not publishing rights. But it is worth harmonizing: if there is one promotion in the tape, and another in the advertisement, a person sees the contradiction and does not buy either there or there. We agree on the promotion plan in advance and adjust the campaigns to it, not the other way around.
Our store is slow - does it really affect advertising?
It also affects paid traffic more strongly than organic traffic: here, everyone who went to the first screen has already been paid. In our measurement on 07/31/2026 on one platform, the first server response went from 126.3ms to 1544.6ms, a twelvefold difference, and this is a matter of store-specific engineering, not engine. The second thing, more expensive than speed, is where the link leads: In a lingerie store, a third of the product addresses checked returned a 301 to another position. A fair line here is this: a fast page does not make an offer attractive. If the price is higher than the market, the store in 200 ms will simply give the person a reason to leave faster.
Send a link to the store and tell us what you have with photos and videos.
In 3–5 working days, you will receive a document: what is being transferred now, what is missing for the catalog and dynamics, how much the existing visual will be enough for, and what is losing a paid click on landing pages. If the channel is not suitable for you now, you will hear it in the first email.
From measured casesA TTFB of 126.3ms and a full HTML load of 172.4ms at 196.3KB is the fastest landing gear of the lot
There is no price list on the site on purpose: the same work differs several times over between two clients, and a “from” figure explains nothing in that case. First a free audit — we count your pages, duplicates and speed — then we name the sum and the deadline and fix both in the contract.
