Online store on Laravel 13: custom development or the ready-made Stable engine

Laravel is a PHP framework that stores are built on (we start new projects on Laravel 13) when ready-made platforms such as OpenCart become too tight: you need several warehouses with different prices, wholesale and dealer terms, non-standard order logic or full ownership of the code. We offer two paths. The first is Stable, our ready-made store engine on Laravel with source code, several warehouses in the core and an admin panel in Ukrainian: you can take it ready-made at stable.com.ua and not write the foundation from scratch (it also runs on Laravel 13). The second is custom development on Laravel 13, when a ready-made engine is not enough. Which path is yours becomes clear after a short review of your requirements.

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 4

A store with several warehouses or suppliers

Each has its own price, stock and delivery time. On off-the-shelf platforms this is usually patched with modules; in Stable it is built into the core.

Terms fixed in writing8 points
  • Contract, act and 30-day warranty

Every project gets a written contract: scope, deadlines, amount, acceptance procedure. After delivery — act and invoice, then 30 calendar days of warranty.

  • Sole proprietor & bank transfer

The contractor is a registered sole proprietor. Payment by invoice with closing documents.

  • Rights & access — yours

Code, design and materials transfer to you after full payment. Domain, hosting, repository and analytics are registered to you.

  • Client portal instead of email chains

During the project you get access to a portal: contracts, invoices, acts and project status in one place.

  • Sites in nine countries

Our sites run in nine countries: besides Ukraine — Poland, Germany, Austria, England, Norway, Bulgaria, Moldova and Spain.

  • Verifiable numbers

Every case in the portfolio comes with a link to a live site and a technical measurement.

  • Audit first, then pricing

There is no price list on the site intentionally: the scope of the same work differs multiples between clients.

  • We say "no" when unsure

If the task isn't ours or the deadline is unrealistic — we tell you upfront.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • Ready-made Stable or custom developmentA ready foundation saves months of work, but it has to be fitted to your order rules. Your own code from scratch gives freedom and costs more.
  • Number of warehouses and suppliersEach source with its own price, stock and delivery time adds logic to the catalog, cart and exchange.
  • Exchange with an accounting systemTwo-way exchange is more complex than a one-off catalog export.
  • DesignA standard theme on Blade and Tailwind is faster and cheaper; a unique design from scratch needs a separate stage.
  • Migration of an existing catalogMoving from another platform depends on how clean the data is. There is no automatic import from OpenCart into Stable; it is done as separate work.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

What is Stable and how does it differ from an ordinary platform?

Stable is an online store engine on Laravel with source code, several warehouses or suppliers in the core and an admin panel in Ukrainian. Modules (delivery, payment, warehouse, loyalty, SEO) are switched on in the admin panel. Description, demo and terms: stable.com.ua.

How much does an online store on Laravel cost?

It depends on which path is yours. The ready-made Stable has public terms at stable.com.ua, which we do not duplicate so that they do not diverge. Custom development costs more and depends on the number of warehouses and suppliers, payment and delivery, exchange with an accounting system and catalog migration. We deliberately do not publish price ranges: the sum is fixed in an estimate after a free requirements review.

Is there a demo?

Yes, at demo.stable.com.ua: the data is reset every hour, and the admin panel is view-only.

Laravel, OpenCart or WooCommerce: which to choose?

If the store has one warehouse, a standard catalog and ordinary payment and delivery, OpenCart will be faster and cheaper. If you already have a WordPress site, WooCommerce is the more natural choice. Laravel makes sense when you need several warehouses or suppliers with different prices, wholesale and dealer terms, non-standard order logic or exchange with an accounting system, as well as full ownership of the code. We work with both platforms and will tell you honestly which one fits.

How fast is Stable?

According to stable.com.ua (their own measurements, a production Hetzner cx43 server): first response of the home page 167 ms (measured 19 May 2026), cache hit rate 98.3% (measured 12 June 2026), and 299 of 300 requests handled successfully during an update. These are the vendor's measurements on its own server; on yours the result depends on the catalog and hosting, so we check this during the review.

What happens to Stable if the update period ends?

Under the terms at stable.com.ua the store keeps working: updates, the extension marketplace and support stop. The license key is tied to one production domain and its subdomains, and development and testing domains are free. The code is not obfuscated. See the full terms at stable.com.ua.

Who is Stable not for?

A store with one warehouse and a small catalog: a simpler platform will be cheaper for it. The Stable page also states directly that there is no automatic cart reservation, packing-slip printing or OpenCart import yet. Some integrations (for example Rozetka Delivery, Meest) are still in development.

Does the PHP2Shell vulnerability affect a Laravel store?

Yes. These are flaws in the PHP interpreter itself, so any PHP store, Laravel included, needs a fixed PHP version (8.5.12, 8.4.27, 8.3.36 or 8.2.35 and later) and a restart of the processes. Laravel 13 runs on PHP 8.3 and later, so for new projects we take 8.5.12 or 8.4.27 and later; the Stable images (cloud version and demo) are already built on PHP 8.5.12. Details are in our article on the PHP2Shell vulnerability.

Why Laravel 13 and not 12?

We start new custom projects on Laravel 13, and the Stable release runs on it too. Laravel 13 was released on 17 March 2026, requires PHP 8.3 or later, and security fixes are promised until 17 March 2028. For Laravel 12, bug fixes ended on 13 August 2026 and security fixes last only until 24 February 2027, so we do not start new projects on it. Which version suits your project we discuss during the review.

Which PHP version does Laravel 13 need?

Laravel 13 runs on PHP 8.3 and later. For new projects we take PHP 8.5 with build 8.5.12 or newer, which closes PHP2Shell (fixes of 21 October 2026); the cloud version and demo images of Stable are built on it. Security support for PHP 8.2 ends on 31 December 2026, so we do not start new projects on it.

Does Stable run on Laravel 13?

Yes, the Stable release runs on Laravel 13. For current dependency versions and server requirements, ask us during the review.

Who owns the code?

Stable comes with a source-code license, with the terms given at stable.com.ua. For custom development we fix the rights to the code in the contract.

Your catalog on a phone screen

This is how your store can look on a phone: a collection banner, popular products and a cart one tap away. Tap “Add to cart” and the counter in the header updates, just like in a real store.

  • Collection bannerThe first screen shows what is new, not a logo.
  • Product cardsPhoto, price and a button — no extra page to open.
  • One-tap cartThe counter in the header updates instantly, like in a real store.

  • We work under a contract

There is no price list on the site on purpose: the same work differs several times over between two clients, and a “from” figure explains nothing in that case. First a free audit — we count your pages, duplicates and speed — then we name the sum and the deadline and fix both in the contract.
