Medical center website: patients look for a doctor and a time slot, not a list of departments

A multi-specialty medical center is complicated because the patient arrives with a symptom, while the website answers with a structure: departments, specialties, subspecialties. People do not always know which doctor they need and get lost between sections. We build the site the other way around — from what the person is looking for: the right specialty, a doctor with a schedule, the price of an appointment and an available slot. The reception desk then stays for complex cases rather than for every booking.

Who it's for

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 4

A center with several specialties and dozens of doctors

The more specialties there are, the easier it is for a patient to get lost. What decides things here is not the amount of information but the path: from what the person came with to a specific doctor and an available slot.

We'll review your situation in a free audit
What's included

Complete list of work and what you get as a result

  • a structure by specialty that leads to the right doctor, not just a list of departments
  • doctor profiles with qualifications, areas of practice and schedule
  • prices for appointments and tests shown openly
  • booking with a specific doctor for an available slot, based on their schedule
  • service and test pages that state the preparation, if any is needed
  • markup for the medical organization and the doctors, so search sees data rather than text
  • forms that collect only the necessary minimum of personal data
  • a mobile version tested on real phones
  • handover with a description of how to add doctors, services and prices
When this service isn't right

What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery

  • medical consultations and any treatment advice — that is your doctors' work
  • claims about treatment outcomes or the advantages of particular methods
  • the reception desk's work after a booking is received
  • promises of search rankings or patient numbers
  • keeping patients' medical records

Free review of your task

We look at what decides things in this niche: whether patients find the right doctor, whether prices are visible and how accessible booking is.

What we measure

  • How many steps from entry to the right doctorA patient arrives with a symptom, not with the name of a specialty. We count how many clicks it takes before they find the person they need.
  • Whether prices are shown openlyThe cost of a consultation is one of the first questions. Leaving it out means a phone call for every inquiry, and some patients who will not call at all.
  • How booking worksPhone, form or medical system. This determines what can be taken off the reception desk and what has to stay in a conversation.
  • Whether doctors' schedules are up to dateA mismatch between the site and the real schedule is the fastest way to lose a patient's trust before the visit.
  • What local visibility looks likeWe check the address, the hours and the medical organization markup — the same things we measured on websites in this niche.
  • What data the forms collectThe less personal data a site collects, the less responsibility comes with it. We look at what booking really requires.

What you get

  • a list of what affects inquiries in this niche, with the reasons explained
  • a proposed site structure by specialty and doctor
  • an estimate of the work broken down by stage
  • an honest answer on whether you need a new website

Timeline: 3–5 working days

Why is it free

A website for five doctors and a network website with dozens of specialists and schedules differ in scope several times over. Without the review any figure would be guesswork.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • Number of specialties and doctorsFive doctors is simple. Dozens of doctors with different specialties and schedules mean separate logic for the “specialty — service — doctor — time” links.
  • Whether booking for a specific time is neededA callback request is simple. Booking that accounts for the doctor's schedule, appointment length and vacations is a separate system with its own rules.
  • Whether there is a medical information systemIf the schedule lives there, the site has to work with it rather than duplicate it: two independent schedules will drift apart sooner or later.
  • Number of branchesA network adds tying doctors and services to addresses, choosing a branch when booking, and separate local markup for each location.
  • Size of the service listA diagnostic center with hundreds of tests needs search and filters rather than a simple list — that changes the nature of the work.
  • Handling personal dataThe more data a form collects, the more requirements there are for storing and transmitting it. We recommend collecting the minimum and explain why.
Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:25–70 days

  1. Reviewing the task

    3–5 working days

We look at how patients find a doctor now, whether prices are shown, how booking works and whether there is a medical system. The result is a structure and an estimate.

  2. Structure of specialties and doctors

    4–8 working days

We design the path from a specialty to a specific doctor, the links between services, doctors and branches, and the set of fields on a doctor's profile.

  3. Building the site

    12–35 working days

We build the specialty, service and doctor pages, the prices and a homepage with a clear way in. We work in a test environment.

  4. Booking and schedules

    5–15 working days

We set up booking into available slots based on doctors' schedules, or connect to your medical system if the schedule is kept there.

  5. Markup and personal data

    2–5 working days

We add markup for the medical organization and the doctors, and check that the forms collect a minimum of data and transmit it securely.

  6. Launch and handover

    2–4 working days

We roll out the site, check the first bookings and hand over instructions for adding doctors and services. Then the 30-day warranty from the date the acceptance act is signed applies.

Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us

a sample of 4 Ukrainian websites in the “medical” niche

Task
Find out the real state of websites in the medical niche rather than the state their owners describe: the technical base, measurement and site size.
Solution
An external measurement without access to anyone else's admin panels: time to first response as the median of several measurements, the catalog from the sitemap with duplicate URLs removed, counters in the homepage HTML, the PHP version from the headers, hreflang, TLS, robots.txt and the canonical URL.
Result
Measured on 17 September 2026: 4 Ukrainian websites in the “medical” niche were checked. 4 of 4 have no breadcrumb markup; 3 of 4 have no local business markup; 1 of 4 have no structured data. Median first response time: 321.3 ms; median sitemap size: 217 URLs.

Dr. Zubanov Clinic

a plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine clinic

Task
Build a premium site for a plastic surgery clinic: detailed service descriptions, a gallery of results, a blog and convenient online appointment booking, with an elegant design that conveys the level of the services.
Solution
The site is built as a React + Vite SPA with prerendering for search bots. Bots receive full HTML with a title, meta description, a single H1 and rich JSON-LD markup: MedicalClinic + Physician + BreadcrumbList + Occupation + WebSite/SearchAction. A correct sitemap is configured, along with Google Consent Mode v2 (default denied), an llms.txt acting as a content map for LLM agents, and a robots.txt with a split policy for AI crawlers: training crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, CCBot, Google-Extended, Bytespider, Meta-ExternalAgent, Applebot-Extended) are blocked, while search crawlers that cite the source (ChatGPT-User, OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot, DuckAssistBot, YouBot, MistralAI-User) are allowed.
Result
As of 31 July 2026 the site is live (HTTP 200, HTTPS): a search bot receives a fully prerendered page in 145 ms to the first byte and 178 ms to complete HTML (126 KB / 24 KB gzipped) with 10 JSON-LD types, including MedicalClinic, Physician, BreadcrumbList and WebSite/SearchAction — the fullest set of structured data among the 8 measured sites; the sitemap is correct, 89 URLs; there is also an llms.txt of 22,810 bytes and a robots.txt separating training from search AI crawlers — the only site in the sample with that.
What we need from you

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. a list of specialties, services and prices
  2. the doctors, their qualifications, areas of practice and schedules
  3. how booking works now and who handles it
  4. whether there is a medical information system and whether it can be connected to
  5. branch addresses, opening hours and contacts
  6. who on your side accepts the work

If something is missing — let us know, we'll help you gather it or do it as a separate task.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Can the website talk about treatment?

Describing services, diagnostic methods and how an appointment goes is both possible and necessary. But the site does not give medical advice and does not promise treatment outcomes: that is a matter of both responsibility and trust. Anything clinical in the copy should be reviewed by your doctor — we are responsible for the structure, not the clinical content.

Will online booking replace the reception desk?

No, and it should not. It takes the simple cases: a follow-up visit to the same doctor, a scheduled consultation, a familiar test. Complex requests — when a person does not know which doctor they need or has several complaints — are better left to the reception desk, because they need a conversation.

We use a medical information system for scheduling — will the website duplicate it?

It should not. Two independent schedules will drift apart, and double bookings will appear that are unpleasant to fix with the patient standing right there. The right way is for the site to take available slots from your system. In the review we check whether it can do that.

Do prices need to be shown?

The cost of a consultation and of common tests — yes. It is one of the first questions a patient asks, and leaving it out means a phone call for every inquiry. Where the price depends on the extent of the procedure, it is more honest to give a range and explain what it depends on.

What about personal data in the booking form?

We recommend collecting the minimum: name, phone number, specialty and preferred time. Complaints, diagnoses and history are things to discuss with the doctor, not to enter into a form on the website. The less sensitive data passes through the site, the less risk it carries for you.

How long does development take?

25 to 70 working days. Most of the time goes into the “specialty — service — doctor — schedule” links and booking. We give the exact timeline after the review, once the number of specialties and doctors is clear.

Do you guarantee more patients?

No. The site makes the center clearer and more accessible for people who are already looking for help, and more visible in local search. But the number of inquiries depends on reputation, location and recommendations, and promising figures here would be dishonest.

Who owns the website after the work?

You do. The property rights to the code, design and materials pass to the client after full payment, and the result is handed over under an acceptance act. The domain, hosting and analytics are registered in your name from the very start.

Let's walk through the patient's path on your website

We will show how many steps it takes to reach the right doctor and which requests your front desk no longer needs to handle. The review is free.

  • We work under a contract

There is no price list on the site on purpose: the same work differs several times over between two clients, and a “from” figure explains nothing in that case. First a free audit — we count your pages, duplicates and speed — then we name the sum and the deadline and fix both in the contract.
