Beauty salon website: booking with a specific specialist at a specific time

In a beauty salon the client goes not to a venue but to a person. So the main question for the website is not “what services do you offer” but “does my specialist have a free slot this week”. When booking runs only through direct messages, the answer depends on whether the receptionist is free right now; half the requests come in the evening, when there is nobody to reply. We build a website that shows services with duration and price and each specialist's schedule, and where clients book themselves.

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 4

A salon that books through direct messages

Messaging works while the flow is small. Beyond that it turns into a separate person's job, and some requests get lost among the messages.

We'll review your situation in a free audit
What's included

Complete list of work and what you get as a result

  • a list of services with prices and the duration of each treatment
  • booking with a chosen specialist in any open slot, based on their schedule
  • correct calculation of open slots from the treatment duration, not from hourly slots
  • specialist pages with their specialization and examples of work
  • a portfolio with capped image weight so the page stays fast
  • a reminder to the client the day before the visit
  • local business markup: address, opening hours and phone number as data
  • bookings delivered to where they are handled: a messenger, email or a system
  • handover with a description of how to change services, prices and schedules
When this service isn't right

What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery

  • photo shoots of work and specialists

  • the receptionist's work after a booking is received
  • promises of a full schedule for specialists or search rankings
  • replacing the salon's management system if you use one

Free review of your task

We look at what decides things in this niche: how easy it is to book, clear prices with durations, and visibility nearby.

What we measure

  • How booking is handled nowDirect messages, phone, a notebook or a system. This determines how much work can be taken off the receptionist and whether double bookings will occur.
  • Whether service durations are listedWithout them open slots cannot be calculated correctly: a one-hour and a three-hour treatment take up different gaps in a specialist's schedule.
  • How many specialists and what schedulesThe more people and changing schedules there are, the more important it is that booking follows their actual availability.
  • What about the portfolioIn this niche photos of your work sell better than text. We check whether there are photos and whether they slow the website down.
  • What about local visibilityWe check the address, hours and local business markup — the same things we measured on websites in this niche.
  • How many no-showsIf clients forget about their visit, a reminder does more than any design change.

What you get

  • a list of what affects bookings in the niche, with the reasons explained
  • a proposed website structure for your services and specialists
  • an estimate of the work broken down by stage
  • an honest answer on whether you need a website right now

Timeline: 2–4 working days

Why is it free

A business-card website and a website with booking at a specific time with a specific specialist differ in scope several times over. Without a review, any figure would be guesswork.

What's next

You get a list and an estimate. Then you decide for yourself — the document stays with you.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • Number of specialists and schedulesOne specialist means one schedule. Several people with changing schedules, days off and vacations mean separate availability logic.
  • Treatment durationIf services take different amounts of time, open slots cannot be calculated in hourly slots. This is the most noticeable difference in complexity in this niche.
  • Whether a reminder is neededA message the day before the visit reduces no-shows, but it requires a communication channel and rules: when to send it and what to do when a client declines.
  • Size of the portfolioLots of work photos are the main reason websites in this niche are slow. Preparing images matters more here than the choice of platform.
  • Number of locationsA salon chain adds a choice of address to booking and separate local markup for each location.
  • Whether there is a management systemIf you already use a booking system, the website should work with it rather than duplicate it — this changes the scope of work.
Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:15–45 days

  1. Reviewing the task

    2–4 working days

We look at how booking is handled, whether service durations are listed, and how many specialists there are with which schedules. The result is a structure and an estimate.

  2. Services and schedules

    2–5 working days

We compile the list of services with prices and durations, and describe the specialists' schedules and availability rules, including breaks between clients.

  3. Building the website

    8–25 working days

We build the home page, service and specialist pages, and a portfolio with prepared images. We work in a test environment.

  4. Booking and reminders

    4–10 working days

We set up booking into open slots that accounts for treatment length, plus a confirmation for the client and a reminder the day before the visit.

  5. Local visibility

    1–3 working days

We add local business markup with the address, hours and phone number, and check the data against the salon's maps profile.

  6. Launch and handover

    1–3 working days

We roll out the website, check the first bookings and hand over instructions for changing services and schedules. After that the 30-day warranty applies from the date the acceptance act is signed.

Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us

a sample of 5 Ukrainian websites in the “beauty salon” niche

Task
Find out what state websites in the “beauty salon” niche are actually in, rather than what their owners say: the technical base, measurement and website size.
Solution
An external measurement without access to anyone else's admin panels: time to first response as the median of several measurements, the catalog from the sitemap with URL deduplication, counters in the home page HTML, the PHP version from headers, hreflang, TLS, robots.txt and the canonical URL.
Result
Measured on 17 September 2026: 5 Ukrainian websites in the “beauty salon” niche were checked. 5 of 5 have no local business markup; 3 of 5 have no breadcrumb markup; 3 of 5 have no canonical URL on the homepage; 2 of 5 have no structured data. Median first response time: 311.0 ms; median sitemap size: 627 URLs.
What we need from you

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. a list of services with prices and the duration of each
  2. specialists, their specializations and schedules, including days off
  3. how booking is handled now and who takes it
  4. photos of work or access to the source they can be taken from
  5. addresses, opening hours and contacts
  6. who on your side accepts the work

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Won't we lose personal contact with our clients?

Not if you keep the other channels. Online booking takes the simple cases — “the same manicure, the same specialist, next Thursday” — and leaves the complex ones to the receptionist: a first visit, choosing a treatment, rescheduling. That is exactly where a personal conversation is needed.

Why does the length of a treatment matter?

Because without it open slots cannot be calculated. If the system assumes every service takes an hour, it will either offer a time that does not exist or hide free gaps. So the duration of each service is not a design detail but a condition for booking to work correctly at all.

Do you guarantee more clients?

No. The website removes obstacles for people who already want to book and makes the salon more visible in local search. But the flow of clients depends on the specialists' reputation and word of mouth, and promising figures here would be dishonest.

What should we do about no-shows?

A reminder the day before the visit reduces them — it is the simplest measure that works. Some salons add a confirmation by the client a day in advance. No-shows never disappear completely anywhere, and we do not promise otherwise, but the difference between “reminded” and “not reminded” is noticeable.

We already have a booking system — will the website replace it?

Not necessarily, and often it's better not to. If the system suits you, the website should lead to it rather than duplicate it: two independent schedules will sooner or later drift apart, and double bookings will appear. During the review we look at what already works for you.

How long does development take?

16 to 46 working days. Most of the time goes into the specialists' schedules and preparing the portfolio. We give the exact timeline after the review, once the number of services and people is clear.

The portfolio slows the website down — what can be done about it?

Prepare the images properly: limit their size, load them progressively and keep a heavy gallery off the first screen. In this niche photos sell, so they cannot be removed — but they cannot be left as they are either, because a slow website loses the visitor before they see the work.

Who owns the website after the work?

You do. The property rights to the code, design and materials pass to the client after full payment, and the result is handed over under an acceptance act. The domain, hosting and analytics are registered in your name from the very start.

Let's work out how your booking should run

We will show which requests can be taken off the receptionist and which are better left to a person. The review is free.

  • We work under a contract

There is no price list on the site on purpose: the same work differs several times over between two clients, and a “from” figure explains nothing in that case. First a free audit — we count your pages, duplicates and speed — then we name the sum and the deadline and fix both in the contract.
