Promoting courses: people first ask “is it worth it” and only then “where to study”

The path to studying is long and does not start with a course name. First a person asks whether they need this profession, how long the switch will take, whether they will cope without experience. Only then do queries like “[subject] courses [city]” appear, where aggregators and large schools already rank. That is why the best entry point for an education project is answering the early questions: they are cheaper, less competitive and bring someone who has not chosen anyone yet.

Free audit of your presence

We look at what you are found for now and whether your site answers the questions people ask when they start choosing a course.

What we measure

  • Whether the curriculum is laid outIf a “find out more” form stands in place of the curriculum, the page answers neither the person nor the search engine.
  • Whether there are materials for early questions“How to get started in [subject]” is the query of someone who has not chosen anyone yet. If only someone else's blog answers it, that is where they will go.
  • What is happening with intake datesA page with an expired cohort is worse than no page at all: it puts people off and looks abandoned to search engines.
  • Whether the format and duration are visibleThis is the first thing a person checks. Without this information some inquiries drop off before any contact.
  • Technical state of the siteSpeed, breadcrumbs, canonical URLs — the same things we measured on sites in this niche.
  • When your intakes areVisibility has to be prepared six months ahead. If enrollment is a month away, it is more honest to plan for the next one.

What you get

  • a list of questions worth covering with materials first
  • an assessment of which course queries are realistic to compete for
  • a plan that takes your intake schedule into account
  • an estimate of the work broken down by stage

Timeline: 3–6 working days

Why is it free

The main question here is not “how much does it cost” but “is there something to write about and who will write it.” The answer only becomes clear after a conversation and a look at the site.

What's next

You receive the list and the estimate. Then the decision is yours — the document stays with you.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • Number of coursesOne course means a few pages. A dozen programs mean a structure, comparisons between them and separate materials for each subject area.
  • Volume of materialsAnswers to early questions are the main asset in this niche, but they have to be written regularly. This is the bulk of the work and the bulk of the cost.
  • Who writes the expert partA piece about a profession should be written by someone who works in it. If you have such people, the texts come out stronger and cheaper.
  • Handling intakesIt needs logic that keeps the course page useful between cohorts instead of showing an expired date.
  • Offline or onlineOffline adds local visibility and less competitive queries with a city name. Online brings a wider audience and higher competition.
  • SeasonalityEnrollment has its peaks. The work is planned for the next intake, not the current one, and we say so at the audit.

Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:60–240 days

  1. Audit and plan

    3–6 working days

We look at what you are found for, which courses you have and whether there is someone to write expert materials. We draw up a list of topics by priority.

  2. Course pages

    10–30 working days

We lay out the curricula topic by topic and add the format, duration and who the course suits. We remove “find out more” placeholders that stand in for content.

  3. Materials for early questions

    20–60 working days

We answer the questions where the choice begins: how to get started, how long it will take, what to know in advance.

  4. Handling intakes

    5–12 working days

We set things up so the course page stays useful between cohorts: current dates, enrollment status, a waiting-list sign-up.

  5. Technical base

    5–12 working days

Speed, breadcrumbs, canonical URLs, sitemap, course markup with duration and format.

  6. Monitoring and report

    monthly

Every month we review visibility and applications, adjusted for the enrollment season, and show what worked and what did not.

Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us

a sample of 6 Ukrainian websites in the “education” niche

Task
Find out the real state of websites in the education niche rather than the state their owners describe: the technical base, measurement and site size.
Solution
An external measurement without access to anyone's admin panels: time to first response as the median of several measurements, the catalog from the sitemap with URL deduplication, analytics tags in the homepage HTML, the PHP version from headers, hreflang, TLS, robots.txt and the canonical URL.
Result
Measured on 17 September 2026: 6 Ukrainian websites in the “education” niche were checked. 4 of 6 have no breadcrumb markup; 4 of 6 have no local business markup; 3 of 6 have no canonical URL on the homepage; 1 of 6 answer slower than a second. Median first response time: 474.1 ms; median sitemap size: 542 URLs.

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. access to the site, Google Search Console and analytics
  2. a list of courses with curricula, duration and format
  3. the intake schedule and when preparation starts
  4. which of your teachers can write or proofread expert materials
  5. whether there are in-person classes and in which cities
  6. who accepts the work

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Why start with questions rather than course names?

Because aggregators and large, well-funded schools already dominate the results for subject names. Questions like “where do I start,” “how long will the career switch take,” and “do I need math” are less competitive, and the person asking them has not chosen anyone yet. You reach them first and stay top of mind when they make their choice.

Do you guarantee a full class?

No. We are responsible for visibility and for making the pages answer the questions. The decision to study depends on the school's reputation, the teachers and the price, and promising a number of students would be dishonest.

Can we write about job placement?

Only what you can back up, with an explanation of how the figure was calculated. A promise of a job after the course is the riskiest claim in the niche: it depends on the market and on the student. We do not write made-up statistics, and that is not up for discussion.

Who writes the expert materials?

Ideally your teachers, and we structure the material and bring it into shape. A piece about a profession written by someone with practical experience reads differently from one compiled from the internet within the first paragraphs, and that very difference gives you an edge over content farms.

What should we do with course pages between intakes?

Do not leave an expired date on them. The page should work all the time: the curriculum, format, cost, and instead of the past cohort — the next one or a waiting-list sign-up. Otherwise it both puts people off and looks abandoned.

When should we start if enrollment is in September?

In spring. Visibility builds up over months, and work started in August will pay off for the next intake. We say this straight away so expectations match reality.

Will this replace advertising?

No. Ads fill the intake in season and get more expensive exactly when you need them most. Search is slower, but it also works between intakes. It makes sense to have both channels rather than replace one with the other.

We are a small school — does it make sense?

Yes, if the topic is narrow. A small school will not win on a general subject area, but on a specific tool, method or format it can. At the audit we look at exactly this and say so directly if there is no room.
