Promotion of services site: One page "Services" never works

The promotion of a service site is based on a simple rule: a separate page is needed for each service that is searched for separately. A single Services page answers roughly ten queries and none exactly. We analyze the price, leave items with real demand and make pages under them with the composition of the works, the term and the principle of the price. On 08/01/2026, we measured a live site where five services hung in the main menu, and all the text on them was a duplicate header. The first cycle is 25–90 working days, the volume is named after a free analysis.

Who it's for

Situations where this service delivers results

Scenario 1 of 5

Twelve services are included in the price, one item is on the menu

The "Services" item responds to the "service" request, which no one enters. Enter "laying a lawn", "installation of an irrigation system", "maintenance of the plot" - three intentions and three different willingness to pay. As long as they live three lines of a shared list, each loses to a competitor's page dedicated to exactly one topic.

We'll review your situation in a free audit
What's included

Complete list of work and what you get as a result

  • Analysis of demand for each price position — so as not to create a page for a service that is not sought, and not to pay for it
  • A separate page for each service with demand: the composition of works, the period that is not included, the principle of the price - everything that is otherwise asked about in the messenger
  • Removal of engine stubs and empty sections from the menu and from the index - they spoil the impression even in rendering, before the click
  • Markup of the organization, contacts and work area in JSON-LD — so that the search reads the address and schedule, and does not guess from the footer
  • FAQ-marking on those pages where the questions are really asked, and exactly in the form in which they are on the page
  • Internal links between related services instead of a flat list: a person from "maintenance" sees "lawn management"
  • Application form on each page of the service with a separate event in analytics - otherwise it is impossible to tell which page is bringing customers
  • Sitemap, robots.txt and canonical URLs brought to a working state and verified by server response, not by eye
  • Monthly report: what has been done, how many pages of services are in the index, what requests are shown, how many form submissions
When this service isn't right

What's not included — so there are no surprises at delivery

  • Design and layout of new page templates is development work, separately estimated
  • Contextual advertising and targeting
  • Working with reviews on external sites and with cards in catalogs
  • Promises of the number of applications: we influence the visibility of the page, not the demand for the service

Free analysis of service pages

We open every service page on your site and see what's on it beyond the title. The most common result of this check is that half of the menu items lead to pages with nothing but the title.

What we measure

  • How many services have their own pageAnd how many of them exist only as a menu item. Measured finding: five service sections in the main menu, and each has a duplicate title and nothing else.
  • What is on the page except the titleText volume, composition of work, terms, price or pricing principle, application form. We count it in signs, not by eye.
  • Template plugs on the combat siteBlank texts left over from the topic. We saw a live site with the description "Description of delivery terms" on the terms page and "Here will be info" on the services page.
  • Does the search engine see these pages?Site map, robots.txt and the number of pages in the index. There are also surprises here: a zero-byte XML map and a commented Sitemap line from the default template.
  • Markup of the organization and servicesIs there structured data about the company, contacts and work geography, or is Google only getting the text about you in the footer.
  • Analytics of applicationsAre form submissions and calls measured? Without it, it's impossible to tell which pages are bringing customers.

What you get

  • Table: service - there is a page - the amount of text - there is a form - in the index or not.
  • A list of blank pages and stubs that are visible in the output.
  • Assessment of demand for each service and a list of those for which a page should be made.
  • Conversation for 30 minutes on the document.

Timeline: 2-4 working days

Why is it free

Because this analysis is quick, and the result almost always reduces the amount of work: a few items with real demand remain from the long price list. We do not want to sell pages for services that are not sought.

What's next

After the analysis, we compile a list of pages according to the priority of demand and deal with them one by one, and not all at once. The document remains with you in any case.

Short form: your contact and site URL

  • Contract, act and 30-day warranty

Every project gets a written contract: scope, deadlines, amount, acceptance procedure. After delivery — act and invoice, then 30 calendar days of warranty.

  • Sole proprietor & bank transfer

The contractor is a registered sole proprietor. Payment by invoice with closing documents.

  • Rights & access — yours

Code, design and materials transfer to you after full payment. Domain, hosting, repository and analytics are registered to you.

  • Client portal instead of email chains

During the project you get access to a portal: contracts, invoices, acts and project status in one place.

  • European clients

Among our work — projects for Norway, Bulgaria, Moldova and Spain.

  • Verifiable numbers

Every case in the portfolio comes with a link to a live site and a technical measurement.

  • Audit first, then pricing

There is no price list on the site intentionally: the scope of the same work differs multiples between clients.

  • We say "no" when unsure

If the task isn't ours or the deadline is unrealistic — we tell you upfront.

What affects the price

Why two seemingly identical tasks are priced differently

  • How many services are really in demandThe volume is determined not by the length of the price, but by the number of items that are sought. It happens that four out of twelve remain - and the work is compressed three times. This number appears only after analyzing the semantics, so we call the amount after it, and not before.
  • Status of available pagesA page with one title and a page with a description of the works are different volumes. In the first case, the text is assembled from scratch together with your master, in the second case, we rearrange, supplement and add what is missing for the solution.
  • Who gives the actual partYour master knows the composition of work, deadlines and restrictions, not us. We edit written answers in an hour. If the same information has to be extracted from the interview for each service, it is separate hours for each page.
  • Technical condition of the siteA commented Sitemap line in robots.txt and a zero-byte sitemap can be done in a few hours. Duplicate site on www without redirect, page names from someone else's blank, zero structured data and zero h1 tags on the main page is a separate stage.
  • Is there anything to measure? We regularly meet a site without any counter, and in this case, setting up analytics with events on the form becomes the first job, even before the texts. Otherwise, after three months, there is nothing to look at except sensations.
Process steps

Transparent stages with approval at every step

Total duration:25–90 days

  1. Analysis of pages and demand

    3-8 working days

Visiting the site, inventorying service pages, checking service files and counters, assessing demand for each price position. The output is a list of services by priority, and not the entire price at once.

  2. Technical base

    5-14 working days

Sitemap, robots.txt, canonical addresses, redirect to one domain, cleaning stubs and empty sections. This in itself does not give traffic, but without this the rest of the work simply will not be read by the search.

  3. Pages of services in turn

    8-30 working days

From the service with the highest demand to the next. Each page goes through your specialist: we do not invent the composition of works, deadlines and restrictions, we draw them up.

  4. Markup, linking and forms

    5-20 working days

JSON-LD of organization, contacts and work area, FAQ where questions are real, links between related services, application form with event in GA4 on each page.

  5. Monthly mode

    4-18 business days per cycle

New pages, refinement of existing ones, report on indexing, requests and submissions of the form. Right here, we decide which service to display next and whether it is worth it at all.

Technologies & integrations

What we build on and what it connects to

Stack

  • Screaming Frog — browsing the site as seen by a bot; he will not show the demand
  • Google Search Console is the single source of truth about indexing; delayed data, unavailable without your access
  • Keyword Planner and Search Tips — Demand for Services; frequencies are rounded, this is an order of magnitude
  • JSON-LD Organization and LocalBusiness — address, schedule, contacts in machine format; does not raise positions, the snippet is decided by Google
  • FAQPage — questions from the page by machine; you can mark only what is written on the page
  • GA4 with an event on the form — so that the pages are compared by numbers; blockers and consent mode make it a trend, not a box office
  • rel=canonical — removes duplicate www and parameters; this is a search hint, not a directive
  • WordPress and OpenCart — service pages are started regularly; on the self-written paper, each field must be drawn by hand

Integrations

  • Google Search Console
  • GA4
  • Google Tag Manager
  • Google Business Profile
  • call tracking
  • CRM or mail with requests
Separate service pages versus one Services section

How this option differs from the alternative

What intention does it respond to?for one: request "lawn arrangement" - page about lawn arrangement
What fits on the pagecomposition of works, term, limitations, price principle, examples and form
How much does it cost to makemore expensive: each page needs an invoice from your master
What the analyst will showexactly which service brings applications and from which requests
The main riskpart of the pages may remain unclaimed — that's why first the analysis, then the work
Cases

Tasks and results in numbers — all metrics measured by us

a store of automatic irrigation systems with a separate area of landscape services, a catalog of 300 items

Task
Check the status of the service pages on the live site, where the catalog is working and the server is fast.
Solution
Site crawl checking the content of each service page, headers and meta tags, service files, structured data and analytics counters. The volume of the catalog was verified by two independent methods.
Result
Measurement 01.08.2026. The five sections of landscape services — landscaping and beautification, site care, design and installation, service maintenance, lawn arrangement — are opened from the main menu, and all the text on them consists of a duplicated title. The technical part is also strong: first server response 235 ms (median of five measurements), full HTML 262 ms, main weight 143.6 KB and 22.5 KB in brotli, catalog of 300 products in 40 categories confirmed by two independent methods with 0% discrepancy. Defects found: /sitemap.xml returns 200 and zero bytes, only HTML map with 89 links works; zero JSON-LD blocks on all page types; zero h1 tags on the main; engine stubs remained on the combat website - the description "My store", "Category 1-4" in the footer, "Description of delivery conditions" on the delivery page and "There will be information here" on the services page; there is no analytics at all - no counter in the code.
What we need from you

We can't start without this — best to prepare in advance

  1. A list of services with an explanation of what is included in each. Without it, the page will be a retelling of its own title.
  2. Access to CMS and Search Console: Without a second thought, we will guess with you about indexing.
  3. A specialist on your side who reads the actual part — technology, terms, limitations. Approximately half an hour per service.
  4. Pricing decisions: amount, fork or described calculation principle. A blank page without any numbers performs worse than any of the three options.
  5. Access to the mail or CRM where applications are received to reconcile form submissions with real applications.

If something is missing — let us know, we'll help you gather it or do it as a separate task.

FAQ

Most frequently asked questions — with concrete answers

Why can't one page "Services" be enough?

Because a person is looking for a specific service, not a list. A list page answers about ten queries and none precisely, so it is bypassed in search by competitor pages dedicated to the same topic. The difference is not only in the positions: on the page about one service, the composition of the works, the term, which is not included, and the principle of price, is included, but the list line does not. The exception will be called honestly: if there are three services and they are performed by one specialist, the section with the list is still justified.

We have service pages, but they only have a header. does that count

No, and it is visible from the outside without any access. We measured a site where five sections of landscape services are opened from the main menu, and all the text on them is a duplicate header. For a search engine, such a page is no different from an absent one: there is nothing to index, nothing to rank for. For the visitor, it is worse than absent, because he has already spent the click and returned to the outlet - to the competitor.

How much text is needed per service page?

So much to close the questions before ordering: what is included, how long it takes, what the price depends on, what is not included, how to get started. Usually two or three thousand characters are obtained. It makes no sense to write more for the sake of volume - the search does not pay for signs. To write less means to leave the person without an answer, and he will go looking for it elsewhere.

Is it necessary to show prices?

To show something - yes. It can be an amount, a fork, a price per unit or a described calculation principle with an example. A page without a single number loses comparators and collects appeals from those who are not in the budget - the manager then sorts it out by hand. We do exactly this on our own pages: there is no amount, but it is explained what it depends on and how to get it.

We have a website with several pages. where to start

Whether the search engine sees it at all. A classic pair of findings on such sites: the XML map gives the code 200 and zero bytes, and in robots.txt there is a commented line from the blank "# Sitemap: https://site.com/sitemap.xml". We met both on live service sites. It is done in a few hours, and without it the rest of the work has no meaning. Just don't expect traffic from the sitemap: it doesn't raise items and doesn't guarantee indexing, it only reports addresses.

How to understand which service to display first?

At the intersection of three things: search demand, margin, and your willingness to take those orders. It happens that the most popular service brings the least money - then it is not the first in the queue. Our recommendation: take three or four items and get them to the end, not twenty pages halfway through. We don't make the priority decision for you - we give you the demand figures for you to decide.

Is analytics necessary if applications are made by phone?

It is necessary, otherwise in three months we will argue about our feelings. The minimum is an event for sending the form and a separate number for the site. We regularly encounter sites without counters at all: one of the two service sites we measured does not have a single measurement tag in the code, the other has only a social network pixel. There is also a fair limit: blockers and consent mode make GA4 a trend, not a cash book, so it is necessary to consciously compare it with real appeals.

When will there be changes and what will you show in the report?

The first cycle is 25-90 working days, and this is the term of the work, not the term of the result. New pages begin to be indexed before the cycle ends, but how many are actually indexed is visible only in your Search Console, not in the sitemap. We do not promise positions. The monthly report contains a fixed list: how many services have their own page, how many of them are in the index, what queries are followed by impressions, and how many form submissions from service pages.

Submit the site address and list of services as you have them

In 2-4 working days, we will return with a table: the service — there is a page — the amount of text — there is a form — in the index or not. Plus a list of positions for which a page should be made. If there is almost no demand in the search, you will hear it in the first email.
